Call for Papers and Participation

Topics:

The workshop is dedicated to XML interchange formats for Business Process Management and Modelling. It strieves to present the "state of the art" of process-related interchange formats from practice and academia. The discussion shall identify potential synergies and future directions. In detail the workshop focuses on (among others) the following topics:

Interchange Formats for Event-Driven Process Chains (EPC),
Interchange Formats for Petri Nets,
Interchange Formats for UML,
Interchange Formats for Graphs,
Interchange Formats for Web Service Compositions,
Interchange Formats for Business Process Collaborations.

Marburg, 25 March 2004 within the scope of the 7th Conference "Modellierung 2004", 14:00 - 18:00
Please note that you have to register for the conference in order to attend the workshop.

Submission:

Submissions are made by "invitation only". In order to allow comparability of the approaches, we kindly ask to cover the following aspects in the papers: Methodological and conceptual background, design principles, application scenarios, metamodel (in UML) and survey on XML-syntax, tool support and complementary functionality, as well as experiences, problems, open issues, and future directions.

Submissions should be 15 to 20 pages in English language. All papers have to comply to the guidelines of "Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI)" and will be published electronically in the proceedings of the workshop.

Please submit only in PDF-format by sending an email to Jan Mendling.
